I watched One Day last night and I was emotionally DRAINED. I thought it was brilliant. And depressing. And poignant. Did real justice to the books dialogue. Afterwards I felt a sense of 'something bad might happen' because they're both such unlucky characters and then reminded myself it *is* fiction.. Feel better soon (and pancakes are always a good idea) xx
Oh SAME. I have to keep reminding myself it's fiction. But I suppose the power of fiction is the way it mirrors life, and makes us think about our relationships, and that's why it's hitting us all so hard. It was so powerful. xx
I’ve only watched the first two episodes of One Day so far - and that mainly because they filmed a tiny bit of one scene of episode 1 on my old street in Edinburgh, while I was living there, so I’m asleep just out of shot 😅

Ooh really?! That's so fun. When was it filmed? I must have been living in Edinburgh at the time but wasn't even aware!
Maybe March last year??? I moved a few months after you
I really love & relate to your writing - thank you for sharing ❤️
